In line with the LA’s proposed admissions policy changes 2025/26, the Governing Body of Rook’s Nest Academy are consulting on proposed changes to the academy’s Admissions Policy for the 2025/2026 school year.
You can find the proposed policy here: https://www.rooksnestacademy.co.uk/policies/
The consultation ends on Wednesday 31st January 2024.
The area for consultation surrounds the following amendments to the policy wording:
- In all categories, when decisions have to be made between children satisfying the same criterion, children living nearest to the school, measured as the crow flies, have priority. The distance will be measured using the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG).
- Parents who made an online application will be able to access their offer of a school place via the on-line website after 00:00 on the respective offer date. A confirmation email will also be sent to the registered email address on the respective National Offer Day.
Applicants to Rook’s Nest Academy would continue to apply using the Wakefield Council’s online application system.
The Academy’s proposed Admissions Policy is available on the Academy’s website (see above link). A copy is also available upon request from the academy office.
Any comments should be made to the Headteacher at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 31st January 2024.
