Y2 Mrs. McNally

Home Learning

Welcome back to school, everyone! I hope you are all looking forward to joining us again in school on Monday.

Here is some information that you and your grown-ups need to be aware of about coming back to school.
On Monday 8th March, you will need to bring your PE kit for outdoor PE.  The focus for Mondays is orienteering and the children will be outdoors for this.
On Tuesdays, we will be continuing with Forest School so please come in your warm outdoor clothing and boots.  Bring your uniform and school shoes in a plastic bag.
The design technology vehicles that the children have been making should be brought into school on Monday 8th March.  This is so that we can group the children according to who has done what.
I also asked the children to bring sticks, twigs and leaves into school for the week commencing the 8th.  These are for our art project on sculpture.

Thank you all for your hard work over this period of remote learning.  I have been really impressed with the work I have received via email, and really appreciate everything that you and your families have achieved.

Welcome to class 2M!
We are a class of 29 lovely children!
At the beginning of Year 2 we agreed our class vision to be healthy, happy, confident and kind children who always strive hard to be the very best that we can be! Mrs McNally is our class teacher and Mrs Overton is our teaching assistant. Together they help us to achieve our vision.
We aim to have fun whilst learning in purposeful and exciting ways at school. At home, we will try to read as regularly as possible so that we become fluent and confident readers with good understanding of text. We will also try to practise our 2, 5 and 10 times tables at home as well as at school.
We will be learning through many exciting topics this year including, “Schools in the Past”, “China”, “Our Precious World”, “Ancient Egypt” and, “Animals and their Habitats”.
