Newsletter 16th September 2022

A reminder that Monday 19th September is a Bank Holiday to show respect so we will see the children on Tuesday 20th September.

A huge thank you for the adopted “gate etiquette” which has ensured that the crowding around the gates on a morning has reduced. Can we please ensure this continues. We are also considering the possibility of opening the gate near the playing field, off Coach Road. Ideally, we would like this to be an entrance for children wishing to cycle to school. We have put a quick questionnaire on our Twitter link which, will remain open for a week so we can gauge parental interest before we pursue the idea any further.

A few diary dates of interest:

  • 3rd October Pupil photographs
  • 6th October National Poetry Day
  • 18th October KS1 Harvest Celebration(morning)
  • 19th October KS2 Harvest Festival
  • 20th October EYFS Harvest Celebration and Autumn Ball (Disco) After School (Y1 – Y6)

Vacancies

We would be interested in hearing from any parent who might be interested in working as an SMSA (lunch supervisor) or to join the Governing Body. We will put further information on the Academy Website next week and you can contact Ms Dawson if you have any questions about either role.

Flyer’s paperwork

There are still many parents who have not returned their child’s paperwork for Flyers. If you have not had a copy of the contract, please see the childcare section of the Website and ensure this is handed back into staff next week.
