Rook’s Nest Academy Mini Newsletter
Issue 3 – April 2020
Dear Parents
I hope this week sees you and your families in good health. Again we would like to send our thanks to all parent’s managing their own childcare and hope that , inconvenience aside, it has proved to be a very rewarding experience.
This year will be a very unusual Easter for us especially as many of us will be missing grandparents and other relatives. As we come to this second week of isolation it has been lovely to see some of the activities that our children have been occupied with at home.
For those who would like some further activities to keep you and your children occupied with over the break why not try our Twitter feed. Mr Williams has added fun science activities to try out at home (remember send us the photographs of your experiments). The Premier league activities website (which has a range of sporting and academic work for all abilities) and Mr Milfull’s favourite the RSPB Children’s section where you can find signs of spring, spot nesting birds and lots of other activities to get children out into the garden. https://twitter.com/RooksNestAcadem
In the event of the schools continuing closure after the Easter break, the teachers have prepared projects which will be posted for each class to complete. So keep checking the website.
What an opportunity to catch up on some reading. If you have really enjoyed a book why not complete a book review (make it colourful and exciting ) then send it to us to add to our website. Don’t forget if you finish a book complete an accelerated reader quiz.
Keep safe, wash your hands and be kind to each other.
Happy Easter
Mr Milfull
