I will be leading on transition this year, working with my colleagues within the inclusion team.
We have the following dates for transition events to take place.
Week 1
Monday 26th June – Ledger Lane . Kirkhamgate, Other Schools
Tuesday 27th June St Johns, St Pauls, Wrenthorpe
Wednesday 28th June Rooks Nest, SSP, Lofthouse Gate
Thursday 29th June Stanley Grove, Newton Hill, Jerry Clay, Wakefield Flanshaw J&I School, Wakefield Lawefield Primary School

Transition Evening
This will be on the 11th July 5-7
Week beginning 5th June – Please could you let us know a suitable date/time this week where we can contact you for a handover of students that will attend OGA in September. To discuss any behaviour concerns, Children’s First involvement, vulnerable students, K codes etc.
Uniform collection will be during the Summer break. Date to be confirmed. We will update this on the transition website when we have the date confirmed.
Deadline for parents to order uniform is the 14th May.
Additional student visits – Nicola Seaman (Inclusion Officer) will be in touch regarding these.
Please could you put this letter on your website or app for parents/carers (we aren’t able to send this to them directly yet as we don’t have parents’ contact details until they have completed the data collection form. Transition Letter
When they complete the data collection form they will need a code – these are attached to this email; please coil you hand these out to students/parents so they are able to complete the data form.
If you are no longer the transition lead, please could you let me know who is.
If you have any CIC students please could you ask the SW to invite us to any meetings this term (k.hargreaves@grange.outwood.com – Safeguarding Officer).
If you have any students on CP/CIN plans please could we also be invited to any meetings in this summer term. (k.hargreaves@grange.outwood.com – Safeguarding Officer)
If you have any students who are K code or you feel are vulnerable and having a meeting this term regarding them please could you invite Nicola Seaman (n.seaman@grange.outwood.com – Inclusion Officer).
If you have any E code students or those going through the EHCP process please could you invite Tom Marriss to any meetings (t.marriss@grange.outwood.com SEN Officer).
